PodCamp Montreal: Social Media and the Small Business
14 Sep
If you missed it, here is my presentation as well as Ustream recording from Podcamp Montréal that took place on September 11 & 12th. For those of you that don’t know, Podcamp is a new-media unconference where people with various backgrounds get together and discuss pretty much anything related to new media.
This was the first Podcamp I attended and I thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely go back next year. It’s great meeting people you’ve tweeted with in person, as well as connecting with other individuals in the local community. I vaguely recall hearing about Podcamp last year but the name threw me off ( I thought it was about pod-casting), however it was after meeting Kim Vallée at a networking event and talking to her about what I do that she suggested I come and share my experience. It worked out well because there was still an opening in the schedule.
Speaking was very exciting and I can see myself doing this more. I really enjoyed sharing my experiences about how we embarked on social media at our company and I hope to have more opportunities to do so.
There were so many good talks, heated debates as well as stimulating conversations over lunch and during the breaks in between.

I was contacted by a journalist from Branchez-Vous, who wanted to hear more about our experience, you can read the article here.
