Content Rules: Book Review

16 Jan

I picked up ‘Content Rules’ by C.C Chapman and Ann Handley last week and couldn’t put it down!  They give you solid advice on how to get started with creating online content that is relevant to your customers and every page is filled with ideas that you can act on.

In some ways, I wish I had this book two years ago when I first started with social media and blogging for small businesses and was looking for direction on how to create interesting and relevant online content. However, there were still plenty of things to learn and new ideas to implement.

Fortunately, this book now exists and you don’t have to struggle! Ann and C.C wrote an easy to read book filled with examples to get you started and writing (as well as re-imagining) great content. Whether you are a social media newbie scratching your head and trying to figure it all out or more seasoned with creating online content, Content Rules offers takeaways for everyone.

The timing is perfect, I think, to start the year on the right track with content that really speaks to your customers, so what are you waiting for? Go, read this book, now! But first, please watch my short video (my first which I was inspired to do after finishing the book :)
