In an earlier post, I talked about the importance of developing a content strategy for your blog and why you need to be creating online content to market your business.
Today, I want to focus on what you can create and give you some solid ideas that you can run with. Remember the 4 E’s of Blogging: Educate, Enrich, Entertain, Enlighten and how you can incorporate them into your posts.
types of blog content you can create:
- How To’s: Explain how to do something. For example, if you are a makeup artist, show your readers the ‘3 simple steps to dramatic eyes‘. Visuals always help.
- Opinion Post: Write a post sharing your opinion or views based on a blog you have read. Be sure to link to the post!
- Review: Review a new product that people in your industry will be interested in and could be helpful to them.
- Industry News & Trends: Keep up with what’s going on in your industry and share with your readers. Are you a fitness professional? Right now there’s a lot of buzz around Tim Ferriss’ 4 Hour Body! Share your thoughts!
- Case Studies/Profile Your Customers: Potential customers may have the same needs as your existing customers. Profile a customer and share their success stories!
Be creative!
If you can’t find the words, use pictures or try doing a video or audio post!
