4 Ways to Breathe Life into Your Online Presence

26 Oct

empty facebook pageEveryday people get inundated with requests to “Like” pages and join groups, subscribe to blogs and follow on Twitter. Why should they join yours?

And once they have, then what?

Here are four ways to bring your online presence to life:

1-Content:
Don’t have an empty wall/or twitter page or blog. Sure your page may be brand spanking new but before you ask people to join your group or to like your page, they should be able to see why they should join. Give them reason. And make it interesting and not all about you!

2-Consistency: Post content regularly. You may only have time to put up interesting content 2-3x a week but try to find that balance and stick to it.

3-Initiate.Nothing happening on your page? Start the conversation. Ask people a question. Ask for feedback. Answer your own questions! You may be talking to yourself for awhile but someone needs to get the conversation going.

4-Engage. Welcome new people who have joined your group. If someone answers one of your questions or comments on your blog-answer back, even if it is obvious! They took the time to respond and so should you. It may even get them to come back.

What are your experiences?
